When should I cut the strapping bands holding the filament together?

Only cut the bands AFTER the refill is fully secured inside the reusable spool. Cutting the transparent strapping bands before locking the spool halves together will cause the filament coil to spring open and tangle uncontrollably.

Where can I get a reusable spool if I don't have one?

You can purchase the officially designed LANDU Refillable Spool for 3D Printer Filament Refills directly from our Accessories collection for a guaranteed perfect fit. Alternatively, you can download free reusable spool models from platforms like MakerWorld or Printables and print one yourself using your remaining filament.

Is this compatible with Bambu Lab's reusable spools?

Yes. LANDU Refill Hyper PETG is designed to fit perfectly into standard Bambu Lab reusable spools. The inner diameter and width of our refill coils match the dimensions required for seamless AMS integration.

How do I use a refill filament without a spool?

You cannot print with it directly out of the box. You must load the refill coil into a reusable master spool (such as the LANDU Refillable Spool) and securely lock it before putting it on your printer or AMS unit.

Is the filament quality different from the spooled version?

No. The LANDU Refill Hyper PETG uses the exact same premium, easy-to-print filament as our standard spooled Hyper PETG. The only difference is the packaging, which is designed to reduce plastic waste and save you money.
