Does the silk finish really hide layer lines?

Yes. The glossy, silk-like surface reflects light in a way that significantly reduces the visual appearance of layer lines, giving models and decorative pieces a smoother, more premium look without post-processing.

Is LANDU Silk PLA weaker than regular PLA?

Slightly yes. The additives that create the shiny finish reduce layer adhesion and overall toughness compared with standard PLA. It is ideal for display models, decorations and creative projects, but not recommended for load-bearing or high-impact parts.

What temperature gives the best shine with LANDU Silk PLA?

Use 200–220 Β°C. Printing within this range (starting around the middle) helps achieve the full silk-like gloss. Too low and the surface becomes dull; too high can increase stringing.

Can I use LANDU Silk PLA for functional parts?

It is not the best choice. Silk PLA prioritizes appearance over strength. For gears, brackets or anything that needs impact resistance, switch to standard PLA or PLA+.
